Defensive Driving

Members: 

TT&S offers two options to member companies to certify their employees and fulfill defensive driving requirements by WSI:

  • TT&S classroom course - "Disciplined Driving in an Undisciplined World" is taught by one of TT&S's approved instructors and qualifies for the ND Highway Patrol insurance discount program and fulfills ND WSI requirements. The classroom course is available to TT&S member companies.
  • TT&S online course - "Disciplined Driving in an Undisciplined World" is also available as an online course and requires an access code from the member company's HR administrator (assigned by TT&S). It also qualifies for NDHP insurance discounts and meets ND WSI requirements.

**To qualify for NDHP and WSI approval, a defensive driving course must be a minimum of four hours, whether classroom or online.

 

Non-members: 

If you are not a member of TT&S, you can purchase the online course licenses for $21.95 each in our Online Courses section.

TT&S will usually respond within 24 hours on normal business days (not available on weekends and holidays) after payment has been received. Licenses will be assigned and instructions for access will be provided at that time.

ND WSI Safe Driver Program:

North Dakota WSI has approved the TT&S online defensive driving course, Disciplined Driving in an Undisciplined World, as a method for employers to meet the defensive driver training requirement of the WSI Safe Drive Safety Incentive Program. 

Please understand the following Safe Driver Program requirements apply:

Driver certification:

  • Must occur a minimum of once every 3 years
  • Option 1 – Complete the TTS Safe Driver Online Training Program (8 modules and final test)
  • Option 2 – Complete a WSI pre-approved Defensive Driving program (SAM Booklet)

Final Audit training documentation required from companies for WSI program:

  • List of drivers (new/existing) for the premium period being audited
  • Certificates of completion (attached example copy of the TTS Safe Driver Training certificate)
  • Certificates of completion for renewal training (if another WSI approved program was utilized)
